Hampi, a land where a boulder strewn landscape is amalgamated with lush green banana plantations. It’s a place where the smell of freshly prepared jaggery hangs in the air as you pass by the town, blanketed by monuments. I have put together all my favorite pictures from my trip.
Hampi, a temple town in Karnataka is a UNESCO world heritage site situated on the banks of the Tungabhadra river. Once the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 14th century, Hampi was known to be a wealthy, prosperous and monumental city. The grandeur of the ancient city is still prevalent in the majestic temples.
