The brightly colored walls of Pondicherry deserve outfits that do justice to the pictures clicked against these walls. Pink bougainvillea flowers and cheerful houses is what comes to mind when I think of Pondicherry. That’s why I put together some casual, airy and bright outfits for my trip to Pondi.
Pondicherry has a bunch of jaunty cafes and restaurants serving appetizing food in a beautiful setting. Based on my recent visit to Pondi, I have compiled my list of the best eateries in Pondicherry. There are definitely many more great options, but these were my clear favorites.
Pondicherry or Pondi, as it is called affectionately, was under mostly French rule for almost 250 years. Pondi has managed to retain a major part of it’s French culture. When I look back, I only remember sprawling courtyards, colorful walls, plentiful flowers, cute cafes and a romantic promenade. You can sit back in a cute little cafe and devour a croissant or walk around the flower laden streets. Better yet, rent a bicycle and blend in with the locals.
